option for treatment of chronic problem skin conditions,
such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and pseudofolliculitis
barbae (razor bumps). PCA Peel® treatments work by removing
the outmost layer of the skin for renewal. The strength
of the chemical peel ranges from light to medium to
suit the need of different skin types and problems.
Who is it best for?
Chemical peel is good for any skin type or condition.
It is not recommended to patients who are pregnant or
breastfeeding.
How long is each treatment session?
It ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
How does it feel?
Patients usually experience mild tingling and burning
sensation during the application of the peel.
What are some after effects?
Patients generally experience redness in the treated
area which disappears within a few hours. Peeling may
begin within a few days and lasts for a maximum of 10
days after treatment.
How many treatment sessions are required?
Treatments are required every 2-4 weeks depending on
skin reaction. It may be combined with Photorejuvenation
or Microdermabrasion.
